COL George "Chuck" L. Adams III, U.S. Army (Ret.)
March 27, 1952 – August 4, 2025

Chuck resided in Colorado Springs, CO.
He married Wendy June Kohn on October 11, 1975 at the USAF Academy.
Chuck received his Bachelor’s Degree from N.C. State. His Masters Degree from Eastern New Mexico University. In 1982 he received his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University.
His military career spanned over 32 years, retiring as Colonel in 2008. Chuck was awarded numerous awards and medals including the Order of Military Medical Merit, Meritorious Service Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters, and twice The Legion Of Merit.
Among his many notable assignments, he served 4 years as the Chief of US Army of Optometry, Office of The Surgeon General. He was an active member of the US Army Medical Service Corps, Silver Caduceus Association, The American Optometry Association, the Colorado Springs Mercedes Club, the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Colorado Springs.
Following his retirement from the Army, Chuck joined The Wright Eye Center in Colorado Springs, where he became a beloved optometrist to the staff and patients.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, George L. Adams Jr. and Eloise T. Adams; and his brother, John T. Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy J. Adams; his sister, Carol A. Ferris (Robert Ferris); nieces, Mallory L. Ferris and Monica N. Beam (Evan Beam); nephew, Channing V. Beam; and nieces, Teagan L. Beam and Mila C. Beam.
No services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, please send prayers for his beloved family.

Paul Ames

It is with great sadness I report that long time TLCCC member and valued friend to all of us, Paul Ames, passed away unexpectedly from complications related to a stroke on January 13, 2025.
Services are planned for Tuesday, January 21 at The Springs Funeral Services located at 4310 Austin Bluffs Parkway in Colorado Springs (map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/hBuhZ4gWKXtJHK8n9 ). There will be a viewing from 10:00am - 11:00am, with Services from 11:00am - 12:00 noon.
​Paul was a great man & loyal friend to everyone he knew. He was always willing to help out anyone with anything. His significant contributions to the club are immeasurable, and he will be greatly missed. Farewell dear chum, and may you enjoy your last cruise to eternity.
