Fine Fiberglass II Corvette generations C5 - C8 (1997 - Present)
King-of-the-Mountain All Off-Road or SUV vehicle types which are considered Four-Wheel Drive, All-Wheel Drive, or rough terrain performance vehicles.
Righteous Ride All highly customized show vehicles. The vehicle is very obviously customized from the original with a high level of precision and attention to detail often incorporating one-off design aspects within the customization. The paint is usually extraordinarily well done, flawless, and well maintained. The vehicle is usually impeccably clean and the brightwork gleams.
Rust-or-Bust All vehicles with a patina or ratty theme which is the intended look of the vehicle. The ratty owner’s intent is to keep the rust, usually not employ preservative coatings, and to use mismatched and worn-out looking parts. The ratty owner’s vehicle will look, and usually is, custom built. The patina enthusiast works to preserve faded paint and rust under some type of preservative coating. If there is not enough natural patina, some have created the effect within the painting process or even use wraps designed to mimic natural patina. A vehicle that is simply dirty, damaged, and unkempt does not qualify for this, or any, award.
The Survivor Unrestored original vehicle submissions. The car must be pre-1980 model in unrestored and original other than common service maintenance condition. Survivor cars must have the original paint job (with no protective “patina preserving” coating), original interior, and original non-expendable parts (such as filters, bulbs, and tires) can be new but like the original parts for the car. The survivor should have its factory power-train front to back and it should have all its original accessory equipment like spare tire, jack, and lug wrench.
